A grand youth rally under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan will be held in Goa on February 27 at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim. The event is being organised by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment in collaboration with the Government of Goa. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister Virendra Kumar will attend.
Over 3,000 participants are expected. A mass anti-drug pledge, cultural programmes and felicitation of volunteers are planned. Launched in 2020, the campaign has reached almost 26 crore people nationwide and aims to strengthen youth participation against substance abuse.
