Nagaland Gears Up for Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference Next Month

Nagaland is all set to host the 22nd Annual Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-III Conference next month. The Conference will be held in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from 9th to 13th November under the theme “Policy, Progress & People: Legislatures as Catalysts of Change”. 
 
 
The CPA India Region Zone-III serves as a vital platform for the eight Northeast States to discuss and find common solutions to regional challenges, covering topics from economic development to policy issues and developing a stronger, unified voice for the region.
 
 
Secretary in-Charge of the Nagaland Assembly Secretariat, Khruhituonuo Rio said,  Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will be the Chief Patron and Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio, as the Vice Patron of the Conference. Ms Rio said, the five-day event will feature plenary sessions, expert panels, workshops, exhibitions, and cultural programmes showcasing legislative innovation, procedural reforms, transparency, and inclusive governance across the region.
 
 
Meanwhile, Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly,  Sharingain Longkumer, who also serves as  Chairman of the CPA India Region Zone-III, has extended invitation to all the Presiding Officers of the Northeast Legislatures and dignitaries to attend the Conference.
