Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has said that women’s reservation and delimitation are key issues shaping India’s democratic future.
He lauded the BJP-led NDA government for its commitment to implementing 33 per cent reservation for women in legislatures, saying it ensures greater participation of women in decision-making.
Mr Patton also stressed the need for fair delimitation, with due consideration for smaller states, especially in the Northeast, to ensure adequate representation in Parliament.
