Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has called on the youth to lead in strengthening humanitarian mission. He was speaking during the ceremonial function of the 38th Annual General Meeting of Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch (IRCSN) held in Kohima today.
Describing young people as torchbearers of empathy, Mr. Rio urged members to expand outreach and inspire wider youth participation to sustain the spirit of service across the state. Emphasizing the Red Cross theme ‘Keeping Humanity Alive’, the Chief Minister said it was a reminder to uphold compassion and voluntary service amid global challenges.
He commended the IRCSN for over four decades of humanitarian work since 1982, including disaster response, health and hygiene promotion, blood donations, even to the most remote corners of the state.
