The Ministry of Women and Child Development will launch the Guidelines on Co-location of Anganwadi Centres with Schools in New Delhi tomorrow. The guidelines will emphasise the importance of early childhood care and education through integrated models, including co-located Anganwadis and schools. These guidelines will provide much-needed operational clarity that will enable States and Union Territories to scale up the model effectively. The Ministry said, over two lakh ninety thousand Anganwadi Centres have already been co-located with schools.
