In IPL cricket, Mumbai Indians will take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai this evening, as both teams begin their campaign in the new season. The match will begin at 7:30 PM.

Mumbai Indians will be led by Hardik Pandya for the third consecutive season. The team will be banking on its experienced core, including Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Trent Boult. Mumbai will aim to make a strong start as they look to move closer to their sixth title.

On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders will be captained by Ajinkya Rahane. The side features a balanced lineup with players like Cameron Green, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy and Finn Allen. This will be the first season for Kolkata without Andre Russell in over a decade.

Mumbai, meanwhile, appear confident with a strong Indian core and familiarity with home conditions. Their batting depth and pace attack are expected to be crucial at the Wankhede, which traditionally supports aggressive batting and effective fast bowling. Both teams will be looking to start their campaign on a winning note.
