In Jammu & Kashmir, the strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44) was closed today morning due to a mudslide triggered by rainy weather. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the vehicular traffic on the national highway has been temporarily suspended following a mudslide at Chamba Seri in Ramban district. The road has been blocked in both directions after debris fell on the stretch, halting movement. The road clearance operations are underway.
