Most Asian stock indices tumbled today. South Korea’s Kospi cracked 6 and a half per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite index fell over 3.6 per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index lost more than three and a half per cent, Japan’s Nikkei 225 index dropped almost three and a half per cent and, Singapore’s Straits Times index declined about 2.2 per cent.
Major European indices were trading higher today. Germany’s DAX climbed almost two per cent, France CAC 40 rose around 1.4 per cent, and London’s FTSE 100 added nearly 0.2 per cent, when reports last came in.
