Union Minister of State for Railways, Ravneet Bittu has expressesd gratitude to the Prime Minister and Railway Minister for launching a new Vande Bharat Express between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and the holy city of Amritsar, today.
This will connect to important holy places -Mata Vaishno Devi and Shree Harmandir Sahib Golden Temple.
He said the modern and comfortable train will not only facilitate spiritual travel for devotees but would also boost tourism and trade between Katra and Amritsar.
AIR Correspondent reports that after it’s flag off from Katra Railway Station, the train was welcomed at Pathankot, Jalandhar City, Beas and Amritsar railway stations by the public and political leaders.
A young girl welcomed the Government of India’s initiative. According to railway sources, the train will run for six days between these stations except Tuesday.
