Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, visited Pakyong district in Sikkim today to inspect a series of developmental projects and welfare initiatives under various central and state schemes.
The MoS commenced her visit with an inspection of the NHIDCL road project along NH717A (Ranipool to Pakyong), which is currently under construction. She also visited several Central Government projects like Prime Minister Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, among others.
Interacting with the media, the Minister said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, new doors of development are opening in the North East.
