MoS for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh stresses importance of Hindi in preserving culture and heritage

Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh today stressed that language keeps culture alive, and the aim is to spread the country’s culture and rich heritage through the Hindi language.

 

Addressing an event organised by the  External Affairs Ministry today ahead of World Hindi Diwas, Mr Singh said the Ministry is playing a big role in connecting the Indian diaspora with Hindi. He highlighted that the Indian Council for Cultural Relations is working to promote the Hindi language worldwide. He said that around 770 institutions in over a hundred nations teach the Hindi language.

 

World Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 10th January every year. World Hindi Diwas aims to encourage the use of Hindi on international platforms, including diplomacy, education and cultural exchange.
