After a week of heavy downpour, the India Meteorological Department has predicted better weather across the state. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and its neighbouring Thane, Palghar, Raigad and Ratnagiri. An orange alert has been sounded for ghats of Pune, while a yellow alert has been sounded for ghats of Nashik and Satara.
