In a major relief for residents of the strategically important border district of Kutch, the process of obtaining a passport has been made more convenient. The Regional Passport Office, Ahmedabad, has launched a three-day Mobile Passport Van service in Bhuj from today, the 25th of February.

 

Under the Ministry of External Affairs’ Outreach Programme, the van has been stationed at the Head Post Office in Bhuj to provide local passport submission facilities, reducing the need for long-distance travel.

 

The service will cater to 50 applicants per day. Citizens who have already booked appointments can reschedule them for the Mobile Van service, while new applicants can apply online and select the “Mobile Van Bhuj” option.
