Lok Sabha Member of Parliament called on the Central Government to prioritise the ongoing road construction between Vairengte and Sairang, warning of potential disruptions if the work is not completed before the upcoming monsoon season.

 

Speaking during the Parliament Budget Session yesterday, MP Pu Richard Vanlalhmangaiha urged the Centre to accelerate progress on the highway stretches linking the two locations. He emphasised that delays last year during the monsoon had caused significant difficulties for residents of Mizoram.

 

The MP further appealed to the government to grant priority status to the project and ensure that construction is expedited to prevent a repeat of previous disruptions.
