Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav described Mithila as the land of knowledge and meditation that has illuminated the world with its spiritual radiance.

Addressing a seminar in New Delhi today on the contributions of Raj Darbhanga to India’s spiritual, cultural, and nation-building endeavours. He observed that the philosophy of Nyay Darshan by Gautam Rishi also emerged from this sacred land.
