Mission Karmayogi, also known as the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building, is a flagship initiative of the Government aimed at reforming civil services through continuous learning and competency-driven training. As part of this initiative, Sadhana Saptah, a week-long capacity-building programme, will be observed from the 2nd to the 8th of April to promote skill enhancement and adoption of emerging technologies among government officials.
Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Dr R Balasubramaniam, Member (HR), Capacity Building Commission, today said that Mission Karmayogi is playing a key role in making government officials future-ready and transforming the capacity-building ecosystem in the country. He said the initiative aims to shift governance from a rule-based to a role-based approach by equipping officials with competencies suited to their responsibilities.
Referring to the upcoming Sadhana Saptah, Dr Balasubramaniam said the week-long programme will include AI-based training sessions to familiarise officers with emerging technologies. He noted that such initiatives will help officials effectively use digital tools in governance and decision-making.
Emphasising the role of technology, he said artificial intelligence-based tools can enhance transparency by enabling real-time performance tracking of officers and improving data management systems. He added that these measures will ensure better access to information and strengthen transparency in governance.
