The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions is organising a mega camp at the Air Force Auditorium in Chennai tomorrow. The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) is conducting the Nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0 from 1st to 30th November this year.
The Secretary of the Pension, along with senior officials of the Department, will visit the camp, where pensioners will be assisted in submitting their Life Certificates through multiple digital modes.
The campaign brings together the Controller General of Defence Accounts, various banks, India Post Payments Bank, the Unique Identification Authority of India, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the National Informatics Centre, and Pensioners’ Welfare Associations in a collaborative effort to promote digital inclusion.
Over 46 thousand pensioners above 90 years and one thousand 2 hundred pensioners above 100 years have already submitted their Digital Life Certificates. Around 78 lakh Digital Life Certificates have been generated till now, including 46.36 lakh through Face Authentication.
