Ministry of Home Affairs Holds Seminar on Integration with State Emergency Operation Centres in New Delhi

The Ministry of Home Affairs has conducted the third seminar on integration with State Emergency Operation Centres today in New Delhi. The seminar was organized by the Integrated Control Room for Emergency Response to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ten-point agenda on Disaster Risk Reduction.
 
The Ministry said that the initiative aims to achieve the goal of Zero Casualty during disasters. The seminar focused on strengthening coordination among State Emergency Operation Centres of all States and Union Territories and other agencies involved in disaster mitigation.
 
It is further informed that during the seminar, experts emphasized the use of technology to ensure faster dissemination of critical disaster-related information.
 
Scientists and domain experts from the National Remote Sensing Centre, the India Meteorological Department, National Centre for Seismology and Central Water Commission shared insights on disaster management and early warning systems. A special session on Artificial Intelligence highlighted its potential to transform disaster preparedness and response mechanisms.
