Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L Murugan, has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had set the tone for the next generation reforms on the 79th Independence Day. He said that Mr. Modi had decided to give the benefit before the Diwali festival.
Speaking about GST reforms in a social media post, Dr. Murugan said that GST reform is not just about rationalising rates, it is also about structural reforms, ease of living, so that businesses can work together with great ease. He added that the government has corrected inverted duty structure problems, resolved classification-related issues, and ensured there will be stability and predictability about the GST Reforms.
