Union Minister of Communications & Development of North East Region Jyotiraditya M Scindia today virtually inaugurated five completed projects and laid the foundation stone of 11 projects worth over 645 crore rupees under the Ministry of DoNER. He said the Centre, in partnership with Chief Ministers of the Northeastern states, has embarked on an ambitious plan to advance the “Ashtalaxmi” vision for the region. The Minister said eight high-level task forces, each chaired by a Chief Minister, have been set up with specific mandates to prepare a collective development roadmap for the Northeast. He affirmed that the government would execute all recommendations emerging from these task forces.
