EAM Dr. Jaishankar Highlights Strong Growth in India-Australia Ties

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today highlighted that there has been a remarkable expansion across all pillars of India-Australia cooperation, including trade and investment, defence and security, research and innovation, space and energy. In his opening remarks at the 16th India-Australia Foreign Ministers’ Framework Dialogue with his Australia counterpart Penny Wong in New Delhi, Dr Jaishankar expressed confidence that the ongoing negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement would be concluded very soon. He highlighted that trade numbers today speak for themselves and those numbers are looking increasingly good.

 

The External Affairs Minister stated that the Dialogue has been a key pillar of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He added that it reflects the trust, democratic values and common vision for a free, open and secure Indo Pacific.
