Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra today announced that Namo Run Marathon will be organised as a part of Sansad Khel Mohatsav in New Delhi on the 16th of this month. While inaugurating the Sansad Khel Mohatsav, the Minister said that around thirty thousand participants have registered for the Khel Mohatsav.

 

The event will feature 11 competitions across various disciplines, including athletics, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, wrestling, football, and other sports, ensuring participation for boys and girls across different age categories. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Malhotra underscored that the Mahotsav not only aims to promote sports and fitness but also to identify and nurture genuine talent, guiding the youth towards building a stronger nation.

 

The Minister further said that exceptional performers will be provided support and pathways to district, state, and national-level competitions. Furthermore, Mr Malhotra highlighted that this move will help the youth in enhancing their skills and make the nation proud globally. He also appealed to schools, colleges, sports clubs, and local athletes to ensure maximum participation and make the Mahotsav a success.
