The national capital recorded a rise in minimum temperature this morning, two days after light to moderate rainfall had brought temperatures down. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for possible rain and thunderstorms over the next two days.
Safdarjung, the city’s main weather station, recorded a minimum temperature of 25.9 degrees Celsius. This is 3.1 degrees higher than yesterday and 1.2 degrees above normal. Other weather stations in the city also reported a similar increase.
The weather department has forecast very light to light rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds tomorrow. Wind speeds may range between 30 to 40 kilometres per hour, with gusts up to 50 kilometres per hour. Similar weather conditions are likely to continue on Monday.
