Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has condemned the immigration raids carried out in the United States by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Mexican migrants. She said, diplomatic note was sent to Washington requesting an investigation into the recent deaths of the Mexican nationals. Two Mexican migrants died following raids and detention in the United States.

Sheinbaum lamented the criminalisation of migrants in the United States and stressed her government’s initiatives in support of Mexicans living there. The president reiterated that Mexicans living in the United States contribute significantly to the US economy.
