In Uttarakhand the Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain and snowfall today in areas at an altitude of 3,300 metres and above in the districts of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. A yellow alert has also been issued for gusty winds accompanied by thunder at isolated places in the hilly districts of the state.
