The Regional Met Department has predicted rainfall in most parts of Tamil Nadu for the next two days. The forecast announced the formation of a fresh low pressure in the North West Bay of Bengal off Odisha West Bengal coasts around 25th. The prediction also said that rains will prevail over North Interior Tamil Nadu to Comorin area across South Tamil Nadu due to a north -south trough upto 1.5 km above mean sea level. More than 10 to 15 cm of rainfall were recorded in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Ranipet and Vellore districts in the past 24 hours along with thunder spells and lightning.
