In view of the rapidly evolving situation in Iran, the Ministry of External Affairs has advised Indian nationals who are currently in Iran to stay put where they are, shelter in place and avoid further movements. In the advisory the Ministry said that any movement within Iran and to the border crossings of Iran may be considered only in close coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran and after obtaining explicit guidance of the Embassy.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Iran advised Indian nationals who are still in Iran must stay where they are for the next 48 hours. It has urged the citizens to avoid all electric and military installations and upper floors of multi-storey buildings; remain indoors; and coordinate any highway movement strictly with the Embassy. It added that those who are in Embassy-hired hotels should stay put indoors while maintaining regular contact with on-site embassy teams. It has requested the Indian nationals monitor official updates closely. The embassy can be contacted through Mobile Numbers +989128109115, +989128109109, +989128109102 and +989932179359.
