India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat today.

Parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, North Madhya Maharashtra, and Nagaland are also expected to receive light to moderate rainfall during the day. The Weather Department further predicted thunderstorms and lightning in places over Gangetic West Bengal and Gujarat today.
