In Indonesia, at least three people died and around 150 others were rescued after a passenger ship caught fire off the coast of North Sulawesi province today.

The KM Barcelona VA was carrying approximately 280 people when it caught fire near Manado around 1200 PM IST. The vessel was on a journey from the Talaud Islands to Manado City.

An official statement said, search and rescue teams, along with local fishermen, evacuated survivors.
