Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized the need to accelerate the digitization of processes to enhance efficiency and transparency during his two-day visit to Mumbai. As part of his inspection, he visited ESIC Hospital in Andheri and the Directorate General, Factory Advice and Labour Institute – DGFASLI.
At ESIC Hospital, Dr. Mandaviya reviewed key facilities, including registration counters, the Dhanwantri module’s online registration system, the dental unit, and the internal medicine department. Engaging with patients and staff, he sought feedback on the hospital’s services and directed officials to enhance efficiency in medical service delivery. He also stressed the timely renovation and expansion of hospital infrastructure to better serve insured workers.
At DGFASLI, he was briefed on the institute’s role in occupational safety and health, regulatory frameworks, and ongoing training initiatives. Touring various facilities, including training halls, conference rooms, and digital resource centers, he took special interest in laboratories dedicated to industrial hygiene and PPE testing.
Highlighting the need for modernization and transparency, Dr. Mandaviya instructed officials to accelerate the digitization of processes, improve the upkeep of laboratories, and ensure transparency in regulatory activities to strengthen workplace safety and health standards.
