Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today highlighted the need to support cutting-edge research in anti-doping science. The Minister launched an indigenous Chemical Reference Material for Anti-Doping Analysis at the 22nd Governing Body Meeting of the National Dope Testing Laboratory, NDTL in New Delhi.
In a social media post, the minister said that Methandienone Long-Term Metabolite (LTM) boosts accuracy in dope testing by widening the detection window. The material will also be shared with World Anti-Doping Agency-accredited labs worldwide, contributing to global anti-doping efforts. It has been developed by the National Dope Testing Laboratory and the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati.
