Manipur Police today disposed of over 332 kilograms of narcotics, including six kilograms of Heroin powder, at the Shija Common Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facility at Lamdeng in Imphal West District. These narcotics were recovered during the War on Drugs campaign conducted by the Manipur Government.
Speaking to the media, DGP Manipur, Rajeev Singh, said that police have intensified drives to seize contraband and arrest offenders. He said that efforts are underway to trace wider networks, financiers and kingpins of drug smugglers.
