In Manipur, National Unity Day is celebrated, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The state-level function was held at the First Manipur Rifles Parade Ground in Imphal.

Inaugurating the programme, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla inspected a contingent march past led by Pranesh Arambai, Commanding Officer of the 4th India Reserve Battalion. He then received the salute from the parade contingents and later administered the National Unity Day oath. Altogether, thirteen contingents, including security forces and NCC cadets, took part in the parade, accompanied by five band contingents.
