Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh today extended his best wishes to the Haj pilgrims from Manipur, particularly from the Meitei Pangal community, who departed Imphal for Kolkata for their onward journey to Madinah in Saudi Arabia.
It may be mentioned that a total of 379 people have been selected for Haj pilgrimage from Manipur under the Manipur State Haj Committee this year. Among them, 172 pilgrims had already left for Kolkata yesterday, and 207 left Imphal for Kolkata today.
