According to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), a major road accident took place at around 4:39 pm near the police outpost at Gaimukh on the Ghodbunder Road in Thane (West), after a heavy container vehicle lost control and rammed into several vehicles. After the accident, the driver reportedly abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled. A person was injured, and 13 vehicles were damaged in this accident. The truck driver lost control of the vehicle, which hit many cars and autorickshaws, he said. No casualty is reported yet. Local citizens rushed the injured individual to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police are investigating an accident.
