Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Sunetra Ajit Pawar today filed her nomination papers for the Baramati assembly by-election, necessitated due to the sudden death of then Deputy Chief Minister and NCP stalwart Ajit Pawar in a plane crash on 28th January. Mrs Pawar filed the nomination papers in the presence of her party colleagues Sunil Tatkare, Praful Patel, Chhagan Bhujbal, Dhananjay Munde and Hasan Mushrif. Shiv Sena leader and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule were also present on the occasion. Meanwhile, the Congress has nominated Akash More to contest the poll against Sunetra Pawar. The election is scheduled to be held on 23rd April, while votes will be counted on 4th May.
