Maharashtra: IMD Forecasts Heatwave Conditions in Vidarbha Till Monday

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions at isolated places in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra till Monday.
 
According to the IMD, hot and humid conditions are also likely to prevail in isolated pockets of Mumbai and the Konkan region today and tomorrow.
 
The forecast further indicates that parts of western Maharashtra, including Pune, Satara, Kolhapur and Solapur, may witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds with speeds of 30-40 kmph tomorrow and on Monday.
 
Light to moderate rainfall is also expected at isolated places in parts of Marathwada, including Parbhani, Nanded, Latur and Dharashiv. In Vidarbha, districts such as Gadchiroli, Nagpur, Chandrapur and Wardha are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph.
