Speaking on the occasion, Governor Acharya Devvrat said that drafting the Constitution for a diverse nation like India was a historic task, and Babasaheb Ambedkar gave the country a Constitution that united India’s social diversity and ensured equal rights for all. The Governor said Dr. Ambedkar transformed society through education, which he believed was the most powerful tool for change.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said Dr. Ambedkar laid the foundation for India’s progress, and due to his foresight, India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy and is poised to rise to the third position soon. He highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s contribution to energy security, noting that the concept of a national power grid was adopted in time because of him.

The state administration has made elaborate arrangements at Chaitya Bhoomi, Shivaji Park (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan), and Dr. Ambedkar’s residence ‘Rajgruha’. Over eight thousand personnel have been deployed to manage arrangements, including waterproof shelters, dust control, sanitation, drinking water, security, and medical services.
