Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will launch a one crore tree plantation campaign in the Gadchiroli district today. The drive is being taken in Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district under the Statewide campaign “Green Maharashtra, Prosperous Maharashtra”. The main programme will be held at the Agriculture College, Gadchiroli.

In the first phase, 40 lakh saplings will be planted in the Gadchiroli district in the first phase of the “Green Maharashtra” campaign, which aims to plant one crore trees in the district. Mr. Fadnavis will also lay the foundation stone of development works, including a 100-bed Hospital, a CBSE school, a  Steel plant and a smart township in the Konsari village.
