Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer S. Chockalingam on Monday conducted a meeting with representatives from registered political parties at Mantralaya in Mumbai. During the session, he discussed various issues including timetable and various stages of preparation for polling across the state. The Chief Electoral Officer guided political parties regarding the election process, nomination filing procedures, and adherence to financial expenditure rules.

Emphasizing the importance of following election guidelines to prevent any complications related to candidacy, Mr Chockalingam urged party representatives to adhere to the prescribed protocols. He assured them that the Election Commission would extend necessary support to political parties throughout the electoral process.
