Maharashtra celebrates 77th Republic Day with patriotic fervor

On the occasion of India’s 77th Republic Day, Chief of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis unfurled the national flag at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan at Dadar in an official function.

In a video message, Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat said that Maharashtra is leading the country in foreign direct investment and has emerged as a trusted hub for global investors. The Governor noted that the state has set an ambitious target of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy, and that Maharashtra is providing direction to the nation in the fields of infrastructure development and the digital sector.

At the Vidhan Bhavan, the national flag was hoisted by Chairman of the Legislative Council Prof. Ram Shinde, in the presence of Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council Dr Neelam Gorhe, to mark the occasion.

The national flag was also hoisted at district headquarters across the state. In Mumbai, the tri-coloured flag was hoisted at the headquarters of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Western Railways, Central Railways, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, among other organisations.
