The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav today launched the third phase of the ‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan’ (Water Conservation Campaign) from Indore, on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa and the Indian New Year. This 100-day campaign, running from March 19 to June 30, will see water conservation works worth approximately 2,500 crore rupees carried out across Madhya Pradesh. The initiative includes the revival of rivers, ponds, wells and stepwells, repair of over 10,000 check dams, and large-scale plantation drives.
