In Madhya Pradesh, the festival of Hanuman Jayanti is being celebrated today across the state with great devotion and enthusiasm. From the Khedapati Temple in the capital, Bhopal, to Ranjeet Hanuman in Indore, a sea of devotees has gathered at temples. On this pious occasion, the deity has been adorned with a silver attire in Gwalior and gold ornamentation in Ratlam. A major centre of attraction is the newly unveiled 51-foot massive Ashtadhatu (eight-metal) statue in Chhatarpur, which devotees from across the state are coming to see. Under the auspicious alignment of Hasta Nakshatra and Dhruv Yoga, community feasts (Bhandaras) and recitations of the Sundarkand are being organized at various places. An international conference titled ‘Mahakal: The Master of Time’ is set to be held in Ujjain from tomorrow until April 5.
