Lieutenant General Virendra Vats today assumed charge as the Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Ministry of Defence said that Lieutenant General Vats was commissioned into 19 KUMAON Regiment of the Indian Army in December 1988 and served as the Commandant at the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington. He will succeed Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh.
