Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today paid tribute to former Deputy Prime Minister Jagjivan Ram on his birth anniversary. In a social media post, Mr Birla remembered the eminent mass leader for dedicating his entire life in building social harmony, ensuring equal opportunities and establishing a just system. He noted that Jagjivan Ram fulfilled every responsibility with honesty, foresight and by always placing national interest above all. Mr Birla further wished that the contributions of the  great freedom fighter to the national movement and independent India continue to inspire generations.
