Looking forward to working together with all political parties: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju

As the first parliamentary session of the 18th Lok Sabha is set to begin from 24th of this month, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju  today said that government is positively looking forward to work together with all the political parties and members to run the Parliament smoothly. 

 

Highlighting the importance of first session, Mr Rijiju said that the first session is customary to have the oath for the newly elected members and the election of the speaker of LokSabha and then the President’s address to both Houses of Parliament.

 

In a social media post, Mr Rijiju expressed hope that all the newly elected members will contribute in maintaining the rich traditions of Indian Parliament. Enhancing its glory and upholding the dignity of the house to serve the nation. 

 

Akashvani correspondent reports that the first session of Rajya Sabha after the 18th Lok Sabha elections will commence on 27th of this month. The sessions of both houses will conclude on 3rd of July.
