Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today expressed his grief at the demise of classical singer Pandit Chhannulal Mishra. In a social Media post, Mr Birla stated that the Padma Vibhushan recipient was a powerful embodiment of Indian classical music.  

 

 

Praising his unique singing and emotive presentations, the Speaker said that the passing of this classical singer of Kirana and Banaras gharanas is an irreparable loss to Indian classical music.  He prayed for the departed soul and offered condolences to his family, disciples, and countless admirers.
