Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today held a meeting with floor leaders of all parties. According to official sources, the meeting was convened to build consensus for the revocation of the suspension of eight opposition MPs who were suspended during the first leg of the Budget Session for their unruly behaviour. A consensus was also made during the meeting that no member of the House will troop into the well during the proceedings.
On the 3rd of February, the MPs, including those from Congress and CPI(M), were suspended from the Lok Sabha for the remaining part of the Budget Session.
