Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has extended warm greetings to the people on the eve of Holi. In his message, Mr Birla described Holi as a celebration of colours, enthusiasm and mutual harmony. He said the festival reflects India’s rich culture, traditions and spirit of brotherhood. Mr Birla noted that Holi reminds people that the colours of love, faith and positivity can dispel every darkness and overcome life’s challenges. He said applying colours to one another breaks barriers of discrimination and sends a strong message of equality and unity, which are the nation’s greatest strengths. He called upon citizens to pledge to fill society with the colours of love, peace and harmony and to share the joy of the festival with those who are alone or in need.
