Many parts of the National Capital witnessed light rainfall this morning, bringing some relief from the prevailing dry weather. According to the India Meteorological Department, IMD, about five millimetres of rainfall was recorded till 8:30 AM. IMD data shows that Ayanagar received 2.6 millimetres of rain, while Pitampura recorded 3.5 millimetres.
The weather office said the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.2 degrees Celsius, which is 5.1 degrees above the seasonal average. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 28 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the Central Pollution Control Board said the Air Quality Index in Delhi was recorded in the ‘moderate’ category this morning. At 9 AM, the AQI stood at 190.
